Why Take Water Baptism?
Taking Water Baptism is Biblical.
Acts 2:38…Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19-20
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Taking Water Baptism is the first step of obedience to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Taking Water Baptism is a commitment to consistently walk in God’s Word, God’s Will, and God’s Ways.
Baptism is…
A Symbol of us dying to sin and our own selfish ways, and being raised to new life.
A Confession of what happened for us at the cross, what we commit to do daily, and what will happen on that great and glorious day when we will be with the Lord in Heaven for Eternity.
A Witness to the world that we have chosen to identify with Jesus Christ.
